The look is the light of spirit - gospel messages of God's Word

The importance of looking Beware of the eye Take care of your eyes Preserve your look

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body will be bright, but when it is evil, thy whole body will be dark. Luke 11:34

According to the Word of God the light of our bodies are our eyes. This means that our eyes have the power to light up our bodies and everything that exists within it.

What is there within our bodies?

I think everyone will agree that, beyond our bodies, our spirit also lives within our body. Thus the illumination that comes from the eyes, and illuminates our whole body, just lighting also our spirit.

The word of God is telling us that if we look for a clean look, a look neat it will produce a bright light and very light. This will make our body and our spirit is also very bright.

On the other hand, if we look for a dirty look. A look cloudy. A look unclean he can not give good light and this will cause our body and our spirit are also not well lit so taking both our body and our spirit into the darkness and the darkness.

What do our dirty look? I wonder what makes our look unclean? What is contaminating our gaze?

The Lord Jesus Christ gave us excellent guidance on how this happens:

But I tell you that whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart to her. - Matthew 5:28

25 Do not lust in your heart to her beauty or let her take thee with her eyelids. Proverbs 6:25

We know that sin leaves man dirty. It is interesting to note that the look has a key role in this process. It's the look that puts the enemy of God in the hearts of some of the worst weapons he uses to try to spread evil and destruction. They are: greed, envy, jealousy, pride, and many other traps.

It's the look that we get in touch with sin. This is a very important fact that we burn in our hearts. It's the look that comes the desire to steal, commit adultery and a lot of sins.

So from today we know that our eyes have such a huge importance. Without delay, it is our duty to use that information to our spiritual development, to feed our perseverance in holiness and to help us on the walk next to our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

What should we do? How should we respond? What precautions should we take with our eyes?

The Word of God tells us to not let our eyes linger, that it rests on what we create in our hearts the dangerous and negative feelings and emotions of evil.

Once we realize that our vision is to be insisting on a person, object or situation that does not conform to the things of our God, we must not waver. Without delay, we must divert it. As much as our eyes do not want to leave that state we must, by faith, in obedience to what we said our beloved God, do what your Word said. Changing the focus and keep our eyes from all unrighteousness, wickedness and sin.

When we obey the recommendations and guidelines of our God we are on track. Our Lord Jesus Christ tells us to divert our attention because they are certain situations such as these situations that the enemy of God uses to bring forth in our minds and hearts the terrible his wishes. When we are obedient and act on the recommendation of our God, we're pleased, first to Him, and we are preserving ourselves from falling into the many traps that the enemy does not cease to arm in our lives.

Let's pray to God the Father to ask Him to, in the wonderful name his beloved son, the Lord Jesus Christ to protect our eyes and our lives all the trappings of the enemy:

Let us pray:

Holy Father! Eternal Father! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, take care of my eyes. Father! Never let my eyes be glad and enjoy it with greed, envy and even to be given to jealousy. Father! Purify my eyes. My body and my spirit of all the dirt of the enemy.

Daddy! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I give you my eyes and my thoughts that the Lord will take care of them and protect them from constant attacks against the enemy invested my life with the clear objective to take away my peace, holiness, chastity and my wonderful fellowship with the Lord, with His Son Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit Almighty.

Amen and Thank God.
