The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ II - Messages from the Word of God Evangelical Joy! Jesus Lives! The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ The resurrection of Jesus Christ
Why search among the dead who lives? 6 He is not here but risen. Remember how I spoke, was still in Galilee. 7 Saying, The Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8 And they remembered, then, of his words; 9 And returned from the sepulcher, and told all these things to the eleven and to all others. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and other women who were with them told these things unto the apostles. 11 And it seemed to them as a delusion the women's words and gave them no credit. 12 But Peter got up and ran to the tomb, and stooping down, saw only the linen cloths, and went away, wondering in himself what had happened.
Luke 24:5 to 12

The first words bring us a wonderful revelation:

Why search among the dead who lives? - Luke 24:5

How wonderful! Our God is a God alive and powerful. It is a God full of life and energy. It's a God with strength and power to turn any impossible blessings in the lives of their beloved sons. Viva! Jesus Lives!

The second fact is that the Lord Jesus appeared first to women. Although the Lord had only men as disciples many women of God followed him with great fidelity and piety. It was because of his dedication to the Lord that He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, of course, because she always tried to walk with the Lord.
After the women reported the incident to these apostles did not believe in what they were talking about. Here is a great lesson for our lives. This passage warns us about the terrible condition of our faith before the things of God. No judge ever, you can not help noticing that the apostles did not have faith and not remembered what the Lord Jesus had said so many times about his death and resurrection.
Although they have been years with the Master, even having seen and heard so many things they had no faith in future events that the Lord had prophesied before them.
If the apostles who walked with the Lord Jesus had this kind of behavior can imagine the ordinary people. So now you can imagine how hard it is for many people to believe in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. And why the Lord Jesus Christ said that those who were happy to believe in all this even without seeing.

36 While still talking about it, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and said unto them, Peace be unto you. 37 But they were terrified and frightened, thinking they saw a spirit. 38 But he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that I myself: handle me and see, for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40 And with that he showed them his hands and feet. 41 they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? 42 And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 And he took it and ate before them. 44 And he said: These are the words that I told you, being yet with you, which must be fulfilled all that from me were written in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms. 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures; 46 And he said unto them, Thus it is written that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead; 47 and in his name be preached repentance for the remission of sins to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I send upon you the promise of my Father: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be endued with the highest power. 50 He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting his hands and blessed them. 51 It happened, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and went up to heaven. 52 And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy; 53 and were continually in the temple blessing God.
Luke 24;36 to 53

The third interesting fact and appearance is very revealing of Jesus to his beloved apostles.
Surprisingly the Lord Jesus stood among them and they very scared and thought they were full of fears seeing a ghost. Again it is clear that they did not believe or did not understand the words that Jesus said about His resurrection the third day, because in their hearts, they still had many doubts about what they were seeing and hearing. They only began to understand what was really happening when the Lord opened their understanding.
And we? We believe that the Lord Jesus is risen and that He is alive in our midst? The Word tells us that God is a spirit and he is among us. Does the example of the apostles still have doubts about the Glorious Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Of course not! We experience the powerful hand of our Living God in our lives. It was he who freed us, saved us, changed us, encouraged us, gave us new life and gave us the grace to have eternal life beside Him and God the Father
Amen and thank God.
