What do you want me to do? - Messages from the Word of God Evangelical

What do you want me to do? What do you want? Why did you have prayed? What is purpose of your prayer?

35 Now when he was coming to Jericho, a blind man sat by the highway side begging. 36 This, then, hearing the multitude pass by, asked what it meant. 37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. 38 Then he cried, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! 39 And they which went before rebuked him, to be quiet, but he cried out the more, Son of David, have mercy on me! 40 stood still, Jesus, and bade him bring. When he arrived, he asked him: 41 What do you do that? And he said, Lord, I see. 42 Jesus said to him: Behold, thy faith hath made thee whole. 43 Immediately he regained his sight, and followed, glorifying God. And all the people saw it, gave praise unto God.

Luke 18:35 to 43

This passage from the Word of God, as always, leaves us great lessons.

1 - Once the blind man heard that Jesus was there he began to cry aloud;

2 - When you hear the screams of the blind, some men scolded him and asked him to shut up. These men had no regard or respect for that poor man. They despised him and that he did not want to bother the Lord Jesus.

3 - The blind man did not call for criticism from those who wanted to prevent him from approaching the Lord Jesus Christ. He continued to cry. When he saw the persecution and criticism then I tried it increasingly attract the attention of the Lord Jesus crying ever stronger. He wanted to receive a blessing from the Lord. He needed a blessing. He wanted a life change and he did his part that he was going against the Blessed One.

4 - The cry of the blind and persistence made the Lord Jesus wanted to stop and listen.

5 - When the Lord Jesus spoke to him the blind man asked: "What do you want me to do" the same thing the Lord asks us:

- What do you want me to do? - What would you like to receive or win? - What is the blessing that you would like to receive the Lord Jesus?

6 - The blind man did not think twice and then responded:

- Lord, I want to see. I want to see

7 - Promptly the Lord Jesus Christ said:

- Behold! Your faith has saved you.

Interestingly, the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to the blind man to see passed from that moment, moreover, all because of the faith he had shown, the Lord Jesus also told the man who once was blind that he would saved. This is confirmed later on when we observe a fact that many of us might even go unnoticed:

Immediately he regained his sight, and followed, glorifying God. Luke 18:43

The man then cured following the Lord Jesus Christ and from that moment began to worship and glorify the name of the Lord.

8 - When we pray to God and ask Him to give us blessing and given this blessing takes to be a reality in our lives, sometimes we become discouraged and upset with the delays of God.

However, the Lord Jesus is not going to do or give anything that might endanger our salvation. Our God is a loving Father and knows us better than ourselves, if necessary to deprive us of our desire of some for us we will not get away from him, he certainly will.

Amen and Thank God.
