Saturday, a special day - evangelical messages of God's word

Saturday a special daySaturday one days healingSaturday one day encounter with GodSaturday the SabbathSaturday a day of miraclesJohn chapter 5
1 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.2 Now in Jerusalem by the sheep gate, there is a pool called Bethesda in Hebrew, which has five porticoes.3 In these lay a great multitude of sick, blind, halt, withered [waiting for the moving water.]4 [For an angel went down at certain seasons into the pool, and troubled the water, so the first one down there, after the movement of water, healed of whatever disease he had.]5 She was there a man who, thirty-eight years, was sick.6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had long ago asked him, Wilt thou be made whole?7 The sick man answered him: Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steps down before me.8 Jesus said to him: Arise, take up thy bed and walk.9 Immediately the man was, and took up his pallet and walked. Now that day was Saturday.10 And they said to the Jews who had been healed: Today is Saturday, and is not lawful for you to carry your pallet.11 But he answered them: He who healed me, this said to me, Take up thy bed and walk.12 They asked him, Who is the man you said, Take up thy bed and walk?13 But he that was healed knew not who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there many people there.14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole, sin no more, lest something worse befall you.15 was removed, then the man, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.
Life through the Son of God
16 So the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he did this on Saturday.17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.18 For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath but also called God his own Father, making himself equal to God.19 And he said unto them, Jesus, Verily, verily I say that the Son of himself can do nothing but what he seeth the Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that himself doeth: and greater works than these will show you, that ye may marvel.21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so the Son gives life to whomever he wishes.22 For the Father judges anyone, but has given all judgment to the Son,23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.24 Verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life and not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.25 Verily, verily I say, the hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so hath he given the Son to have life in himself;27 and gave him authority to judge because he is the Son of man.28 Marvel not at this, because the hour is coming when all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come out29 those who have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.30 I can of myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just, because I seek not my will but the will of him who sent me.
Testimonies about Jesus
31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.32 is another that beareth witness of me, and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.33 Ye sent unto John, and he testified to the truth;34 I, however, did not receive testimony from man: but I say that ye may be saved.35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing to rejoice for a little time with his light.36 But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John: for the works which the Father gave me to accomplish, the very works that I testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me.37 And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice nor seen his shape;38 and not his word abiding in you, because you do not believe that he sent.39 You search the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life, and they are they which testify of me;40 but you will not come to me to have life!41 I receive not honor from men;42 But I know that you do not have in you the love of God.43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.44 How can ye believe, who receive glory from one another and seek not the honor that cometh from God only?45 Think not that I will accuse you before the Father: there is one who accuses you, Moses, in whom you trust.46 For if ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

It was Saturday and Jesus was driving to a party. On the way he stopped at the Pool of Bethesda where he observed a crowd of patients there. There in that place he found a man who was sick a long time. The Lord Jesus Christ asked the man if he wanted to be healed. The man did not answer the question Of The Lord Jesus Christ. The man, instead of answering the question of the Lord Jesus began to speak of the difficulties he faced to be healed.
This happens to us too. How many times have a need and seek the word of God to help us. Even when the Lord shows us the word that both do not believe in looking for strength and power there is in the beautiful word of our God and decided to give more attention to the difficulties and challenges of what to expect and rely on the mighty power of our God.
Now! That man was not suffering for four months, but almost forty years ago. The fact that man to be there already demonstrated that, despite the difficulties of life, that man had not given up seeking his healing. But there was a problem in search of the man: he expected more of men than the Lord. That man was putting his hopes on a more human arm than in the strong and mighty arm of the Lord. We all know that human strength is nothing before the infinite and merciful power of God. We all know that only our God can change any situation in our lives for more adverse they may seem.
Even with the grumbling and excuses of man, because the patient did not know who he was talking to him, the Lord Jesus Christ, despite the words of the patient, can see that the man longed to be healed, and again the Lord Jesus went the man and said:
Arise, take up thy bed and walk. John 5:8
The Lord Jesus did a wonderful miracle here:

9 Immediately the man was, and took up his pallet and walked. Now that day was Saturday.John 5:9
The man was healed immediately. The man was healed at the same time. That day was the same what?
Sunday?Friday?
No! That was a wonderful day of the Lord. The Sabbath. Not the Sabbath but the Sabbath of our Lord. The Sabbath day contrary to what many think is one day of imprisonment and deprivation is actually a day of blessings, is a day we meet with our God. It is a day set apart by God so that we receive from Him their benefits. Many benefits such as: freedom, peace, rest, healing, restoration, forgiveness, contemplation of nature, worship, service to others, visiting the sick, meeting with fellow church members, meeting with friends and family, study the word of God. ..Not that he does not do miracles and healings on other days of the week but that He blessed and sanctified in a special way on Saturday.
Remember the sabbath day to sanctify it. Six days you shall labor and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God.On that day thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Exodus 20:4

25 Verily, verily I say unto you by the hour comes, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.John 5:25
21 Therefore, stripping you of all sorts of filth and every vestige of evil, and receive with meekness the implanted word in you, which is able to save your souls.22 But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.23 For if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer is like a man beholding his face in the mirror of nature;24 For he beholdeth himself and goeth his way, and soon forget how it was.25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1
How many people are trapped in the world of sin and the world of deception. How many people are struggling with situations that could easily be eliminated only by the presence of the Lord in their lives. How many people are not sick and dead psychologically and spiritually and are in need of a miracle in their lives.
So the word of our God guides us that we must not only listen to their words but put them into practice steadily so that we receive from our God all the benefits we need. The Word is clear: if we hear the Word of God and not put into practice we are deceiving ourselves and we will not succeed in our endeavors.
3 And hereby we know that we know if we keep his commandments.4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments is a liar, and it is not true;5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected. Hereby know we that we dwell in him;6 Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.
1 John 2
Now! If we say we know the Lord Jesus Christ we hear and practice the love of our God is guiding us:

24 Verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life and not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. John 5:24
47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? John 5:47
Amen and thank God. Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
