When our relationships are a problem - gospel messages of God's Word

Living in peace with everyone When our relationships are a problem

18 If possible, as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18

Sometimes we struggle to get along with a certain person and the result is not always positive. We try our best not only, but also do everything in our power to live in peace with each other, but the other party will not observe the same. Faced with this situation is very common to ask ourselves what are we doing wrong?

We all know that no one in this world that pleases everyone. Nothing in this life are unanimous. Nobody can please everybody. Sometimes we forget this, and this time it is worth remembering that even the Lord Jesus Christ pleased everyone.

Paul is leaving us a good indication of what can cause this type of relationship difficult. He says:

18 If possible, as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18

Let's review:

The Word of God is guiding us so that we do everything possible and what is within our power so that we can live in peace with all people. However, even when applying the maximum in order to make this a reality in our lives that we see, the thing with certain people can not walk. The relationship does not develop, and it is very difficult to establish with the other person in question, a harmonious relationship, true, respectful and balanced.

In short:

As much as the other person do not want to live in peace with us.

I wonder what might be happening behind this lack of understanding between these people? Is this natural? Is this normal?

From the point of view of the world there are many explanations for this type of situation. Paul is warning us that the proper development of our relationships will not always rely solely on us.

While it is our responsibility we should strive as much as possible so that peace is always present in our relations, but not always depend directly ourselves. Let us not forget that when a party does not want, there can be no a balanced and peaceful between two people or more.

There is another word of God that gives us another good indication of what can cause these types of disagreements:

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? - 2 Corinthians 14-15

Yoked field is uneven. The Christian life is dominated by his wonderful and redeeming love of Jesus Christ. On the other hand the unbeliever has dominated his life for God in the world, the devil. Both are not on the same domain. Such a relationship is like a yoke of oxen in which each animal decides to follow one direction. As one goes right the other goes to the left. This has given way to see that such a relationship will do them anywhere.

When faced with a difficult relationship is not uncommon to blame ourselves because we can not develop a good understanding or a good friendship with that person.

However, the Word of God tells us that a relationship based on peace and understanding with all wing people will not always be possible because it does not depend solely on us.

When disagreements occur we must be calm and tolerant of the person who is against us and pray that the Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the life of that person. We can not never forget to ask God that, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, he gives us great wisdom, patience and love to make a living and give a good report on these relationships so complicated.

Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ
