Mary, a woman blessed by God Mary, an example of woman A woman after God's heart Mary, a woman full of the Holy Spirit Mary, the mother of Jesus Mary, an example of a woman of God

26 However, in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, the house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel said to her: Hail, highly favored, the Lord is with thee. 29 She, however, hearing these words, he was troubled too much and began to think that greeting might be. 30 Then said the angel: "Fear not Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. 31 Behold, you will conceive and bear a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. 32 He shall be great and will be called Son of the Highest: and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father; 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob, and his kingdom will never end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, since I am a virgin? 35 And the angel answered him, will come on you the Holy Spirit and the power of the Most High will cover you with his shadow, so what is born will be called holy, the Son of God. 38 And Mary said. Behold the handmaid of the Lord: be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. - Luke 1:26-35, 38

28 And the angel said to her: Hail, highly favored, the Lord is with thee. 38 And Mary said. Behold the handmaid of the Lord: be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. - Luke 1:28, 38

These texts show us some features that made the young woman Mary a very gifted and beloved of our God of Love. Mary was a woman who, despite being very young, because he walked in God's presence. These characteristics have made her a young man after the heart of God. Both the angel Gabriel said:

The Lord is with thee. - Luke 1:28

The word of God guides us and teaches us that God does not associate with evil:

For thou art not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee-Psalm 5:4

God is light and in Him is no darkness. 1 John 1:5

As we have seen: our God does not associate with evil. So he was just Mary because she was a young man of good character, good heart and God fearing. Similarly, Mary was only the presence of God in her life because she walked in the holy and happy ways of the Lord, she loved God and sought to have a righteous heart of the Father

How can this be, since I am a virgin? - Luke 1:34

A great virtue was that Mary was his communion with God, it clearly perceived through his Holy and blessed chastity.

39 In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill, a city of Juda; 40 entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, 42 and cried aloud: Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb! 43 And whence comes this to me, who come to me the mother of my Lord? 44 For as soon as it sounded in my ears the voice of your greeting, the babe leaped for joy inside me. 45 Blessed is she who believed that they will fulfill the things of the Lord was spoken to her. 46 And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior; 48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. Henceforth, therefore, all generations will call me blessed; 49 For the Mighty One has done great things to me, and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear him. 51 With his arm he has power, he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts; 52 deposed the mighty thrones and exalted the humble. 53 The hungry filled with goods, and empty he dismissed the rich. 54 He has helped Israel his servant, remembering mercy 55 (as he spoke to our fathers) Toward Abraham and his descendants forever. - Luke 1:41-55

We also emphasized the willingness of Mary to serve others. She had great faith in God. He loved it and praised the Lord.

15 And then the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another: Let's go to Bethlehem and see what happened and what the Lord has told us about. 16 And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph and the babe lying in a manger; 17 and saw him, spread the word about the boy who had been told them; 18 And all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as they were told. - Luke 2:15-20 13 And when they were departed, behold an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, take the child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I bring thee word: for Herod seek the young child to destroy him. 14 He got up, he took the night the boy and his mother, and departed into Egypt. - Matthew 2:13-14

19 But when Herod was dead, behold an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 Saying, Arise, take the child and his mother and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the boy's death. 21 And he arose, took the boy and his mother and went to the land of Israel. - Matthew 2:19-21

Mary had a calm spirit, gentle and quiet. She was a discreet and very confident in the ways of the Lord. She listened. And she felt in her heart and kept hoping that the Lord fulfilled her life in the designs of the Sovereign Lord of our souls.

Mary did not rebelled and was submissive to her husband. When necessary, she respected the decisions of Joseph with righteousness and wisdom. When we had to go anywhere she accompanied him and took care of the baby Jesus with love, affection and dedication.

Three days later, there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and there was the mother of Jesus; 2 and was also invited Jesus and his disciples into the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to him: They have no wine. 4 Jesus answered them, "Woman, what have I to you? Not yet come to my time. 5 His mother said to the servants: Do whatever he tells you. 6 Now there were set there six stone water jars, the purifying of the Jews, each holding two or three metretas. 7 And he charged him, "Fill the jars with water. And they filled them up to the top. 8 Then he said, Take now, and take it to the master of ceremonies. And they did. 9 When the master of the banquet tasted the water made wine, not knowing where he was, well knew that the servants who had drawn the water, called the master of ceremonies the groom 10 and said: Everyone brings out the good wine first, and when men have well drunk, then the bottom: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. 11 Thus did Jesus first of his signs at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory and his disciples believed in him. 12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, his mother, his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there many days. - John 2: 1-12

Once again we see how Mary cared about others. Mary was aware of the needs of siblings. At the wedding she was distressed by the lack of family that had no more wine to serve to guests.

She learned about the Force and Power of the Lord Jesus taught us a wonderful way when wisely went to the Lord Jesus. She was not alone resolve the situation. She did not put forward to change the lives of those people, she knew very well that the person who had the strength and power to transform anything it was the Lord Jesus Christ, and with all humility and affection from her mother talked with the Lord:

They have no wine. - John 2:3

Mary knew from the appearance of the angel Gabriel who that was his Son Jesus. She knew that He was actually was not an ordinary man, but the beautiful and majestic Son of God Most High who was in the physical presence of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing that she humbly said to the servants and all of us as well:

Do whatever he tells you. - John 2:5

This little booklet shows all humility, obedience, wisdom and grace of this great and blessed woman of God. She was not chosen by accident but by merit. It was a case of wife humble, obedient, caring, and above all, an example to others in love and fear of God.

With these wise words Mary, besides being a mother, she also became one of the leading disciples of Jesus Christ, because she more than divinely revealed to the world the strength and power of the Lord Jesus when she guided us:

Do whatever he tells you. - John 2:5

25 were standing near the cross of Jesus his mother, his mother and sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and beside her the disciple whom he loved, said his mother, Woman, behold your son. 27 Then he said to the disciple, Behold thy mother. And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. - John 19:25-27

Even with the pain and suffering Mary remained standing. She withdrew forces do not know where to endure so many trials. Sure, it was our God and Father who claimed before that terrible and redemptive suffering that our Lord Jesus Christ had to endure to give us our freedom, salvation and eternal life.

Can not imagine the suffering of that mother. However, we can observe a few things:

One is the amazing loyalty and great love that Mary had the Lord Jesus. She, even in the face of such pain and suffering never left his beloved son, she was beside him at all times.

Another fact is very exciting for the care of Father with Mary. In that moment of great distress, both the Lord Jesus and His Mother, the Father contended. The Father gave him strength and faith that she could endure such pain, suffering and injustice.

Even before that moment of extreme anguish, humiliation, pain and suffering, the Lord Jesus showed his care for her and as a gesture of love that can not express in words what is so great, let the apostle John to care for her. In the same way he left it to care for him.

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer with women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. - Acts 1:14

Mary was a woman of faith and hope. She would not give up. She was not delivered and always clinging to the Lord she went on. She's not discouraged. She trusted that God the Father in his great love was to give each of us with our long awaited and expected reward for walking in his ways with fidelity and trust in eternal life. One fact in particular deserves our attention again. Mary, the blessed woman of God, a moment of humility and obedience to our God of Love, despite being mother and her physical authority over the child, she introduced us to the One who was, is, and always will be our big helper mediator, transformer, liberator and savior, our beloved and glorified Lord Jesus Christ, when she wisely said to us: Do whatever he tells you. - John 2:5

Amen and Thank God.
